The deepest point in the Pacific Ocean spans more than 1,500 miles and lies 36,000 feet below sea level, that’s 7,000 feet more than Mount Everest. Vast in its nature, unsurprisingly the ocean remains nearly 95% unexplored. What have discovered though reshapes our perception of what may live in the dark corners of this realm. It’s an unforgiving turf and is home to some of the fiercest creatures we’ve ever seen. We’ve compiled a list of nine sea creatures that are both interesting and terrifying at the same time. Make no mistake though, we’re only scratching the surface and there’s a whole lot more to be afraid.
